The Microsoft Web Application Installer is a IIIS (Internet Information Services) frontend installer with deployment of popular php and ASP scripts. Graffiti, DotNetNuke, WordPress, Drupal, OSCommerce or even phpbb, whatever takes your fancy. This is only for Vista or Windows Server 2008.
Ok, lets give it a try:
If the download asks you to install IIS (Internet Information Services) Click Start and go to your control panel, click Programs. Under programs and features you will see “Turn Windows features on or off” Click that and you will see “Internet Information services” in that dialogue box. Click whatever features you desire. see pic1
Microsoft describes the Web Application Installer Beta as being able to help get you up and running with the most widely used Web Applications freely available for your Windows Server. Web AI provides support for popular ASP.Net and PHP Web applications including Graffiti, DotNetNuke, WordPress, Drupal, OSCommerce and more. With just a few simple clicks, Web AI will check your machine for the necessary pre-requisites.
